It was an excellent game back in its time and I spent lots and lots of days playing. Doing the license tests was always annoying but after they were done the game started to get more fun. Overall the best car for me was the R33 Skyline which would accelerate heaps fast at top its speed at like 380 km/h, easily owning all other cars. The GTO was also mad!
The 2nd Gran Turismo was easily just as good or possibly even better. The Eskudo was probably the car I used the most out of all of them.
I didn't really end up playing the 3rd or 4th very much but they were both quite fun and the graphics and details of the cars on both are outstanding!

I would always start with an MX-5 and then by the ford mustang (great price/power ratio)
Im with you on the Eskudo pikes peak, simply the fastes/best handling car around.
I’ve got to say GT4 is the best racing game ever, simply the way the car handles is so realistic if not frustrating for new players. Im annoyed to see some racing games with unrealistic handling, if your making a car racing game the cars should handle like, yup u’ve guessed it…cars! Otherwise you might as well make a starwars pod racing game.
