HI Everyone,

Not sure if this is an appropriate topic or correct place to ask this question, but I can't seem to find the weapon sounds or any of the special effects sounds (bullet wiz's, etc.) in any of the folders in the COD4 root directory.

Many ambient and other such sounds (like music) can be found in iw_00 through 12 in the "main" folder.

I have a feeling the weapon sounds are some weird file format that is compressed and hidden somewhere.
I just wanted to play around with the weapon sounds and try maybe a simple sound mod. Also, maybe add some funny/cool effects noises.

Any help greatly appreciated!
