RPGs/Rogue-likes FTW.

What was/is:

1. The most useless item you have ever encountered in any game.

And/Or

2. The most ridiculous(amusing or aggravating) status effect you have ever been plagued with.


For 2 I would have to say lust in the rogue-like Baroque. It makes everything(both items and enemies) look like woman. It annoys the hell outta me. At least it's somewhat more tolerable in first person since I don't have to see the main character walking around looking like a chick.

Hmmm, actually after thinking about 1, I would have to say the cultivating fluid in the same game. I think you're supposed to give it to someone at some point for a certain response but as a regular item when you throw it at an enemy it makes another enemy.
