Hey,

Third person feels grity in some situations, like Silent Hill or Grand Theft Auto, but overall, first person feels the most realistic.

Two opposing examples would be:

Condemmed: Criminal Origins

against

Dead Rising

Note: I haven't played any of the games I mentioned.

I personally prefer the first person point of view. In some games, the third person seems difficult to control. Even through diablo1, diablo 2 and sacred was 3rd person, it was a 2D environment. Its not like you had to look up a whole lot while playing.
