Default Call Of Duty 5 (World At War)

Call Of Duty 5 (World At War)
Published by: Activision
Developed by: Treyarch
Release Date: November 11, 2008
Genre: First-Person Shooter
Local Play: 2 Co-Op
Online Play: 4 Versus
Also Available On: PlayStation 3, PlayStation 2, Wii, PC, Nintendo DS, Wireless

As you may know, this title is being developed by Treyarch (the guys who brought us Call of Duty 3). Will Call of Duty 5 World at War be able to pull us away from the current installment of the franchise - that is arguably the most complete first person shooter on the market? We will have to wait and see. NextGEN Gamers can confirm that for the first time ever World at War will contain 2 player split screen and 4-player co-op over Xbox Live and PSN.

Now Here Is Some Extra Info (From IGN)

Call of Duty: World at War throws out the rulebook of war to transform WWII combat through a new enemy, new tactics and an uncensored experience of the climatic battles that gripped a generation. As U.S. Marines and Russian soldiers, players will employ new features like cooperative gameplay, and weapons such as the flamethrower in the most chaotic and cinematically intense experience to date.

Well, the people that made CoD3 are working on this one but this time around they have more time to work on it so me personally, I am waiting for more to come out before I see if I want it.

I can't wait. I've always been a fan of the CoD series, and I like the spin on taking us to the Pacific "theater." I don't think it could possibly top CoD4, but you never know.

I'm especially excited about the flamethrower, hehe...So...much...fire!!

There's a great preview of the game at Game Abyss...Just do a search on Call of Duty. It's got links to videos and screen shots, for people who haven't seen them yet.

As someone who's always wary of online co-op, I'm not going to pick this one up until I hear some news about it, but I guess the only way to know for sure is to demo the game. Here's hoping the boys and girls at Treyarch can keep up the steam left over from CoD4...

I was pissed that Call of Duty 4 didn't come to the Wii, it's nice to see the franchise come back to a Nintendo Console.

I knew it would be confirmed for 5 platforms. So I guess they made a smart move by putting on the Wii. I can't wait, I played COD 4 and it was awsome. Add the Wii controlls and this could be something pretty amazing.

Well, I played COD2 a while back and loved it.

I love COD4 and can't wait for COD5. Will COD5 come out on PC first? And also is there a release date yet?
