Default Dance Dance Revolution

I love dance games. Since I saw this one in a game store, I couldn't resist and I bought it. It's one of my favorite games now. I also got the dance pad, since using the controller to play isn't that funny.
If anyone played it, share your story.

I have to say dancing games are not really my thing. I totally agree that using the controller is terrible. You buy a dancing game to dance not press buttons at the correct intervals.

For people that like dancing games I would recommend getting an Eyetoy if they have a PS2, there are similar interactive games that they might like.

As with above, it isn't exactly my type of thing but it still creates alot of fun. Playing on the controller to me just seemed pointless, but other than it being pointless it was also too easy. I think I still have my Dance Pads lying around somewhere, not sure where though.

What about in the arcades, has anyone ever played it there?

I own DDR, but I don't play it much. My friend on the another hand loves it. It's fun, but the music could use some improvement. I'm not a big fan of jumping around on a mat either, so that's probably why I'm not into it much. But if you like dance music, and like the concept of trying to bust some moves, then get this game.

I have one of those huge metal dance mats, and a few different dance games. They're a huge laugh to play with friends, and good exercise too.

Now, if only I could actually get good at one of them...

I have only played ddr at the arcade. I am not a big fan of the game but it's fun with some friends competing. Funny to watch others mess up while playing too.

I've been meaning to try DDR out, it looks like a lot of fun with your friends. How much is the dancepad? I might try it out at an arcade or something before I go out and purchase it. Judging from what others have said it looks like a great buy.

Oh DDR is a fun game. I have not played it in a while now but it is a great game to play with some friends at a house. I am not good by any means but I still have a pretty good time myself.
