I have this question from a long time and want an answer from you guys here. Can we take a PC as a gaming console and give reasons too.

Let the argument begin.

No. A PC is a machine was a number of functions. I believe it is better than any console out there.

But can we take PC as a Gaming consloe even when it has many functions. Even my PS II has some func.

DVD player,
Audio CD Player,
Video recorder,
Audio recorder,
Camera,

ect.

But we still call the PS II a Gaming consloe. strange things happen.

I think the main reason the PS, Xbox and Wii are called gaming consoles it's able to be hooked up in the living room and be played right on your TV. Sure you could do the same thing with your computer, but there's the issue of hooking up a bunch of cables and whatnot.

Basically a gaming console is a small computer with limited functionality.

Nah, I don't think the PC is a gaming console. You can do pretty much anything with a PC, as with a console you cannot. Consoles only really offer minimal storage, watching DVD's and obviously playing the games.

Anything really can be done on a computer! I wouldn't call it a gaming console as such but it is close to it!

Then PC is not a Gaming console as you guys say,
But I always play games on my PC and that's the BEST game playing device I know of. Although you can do more than gaming.

I too play games on my PC more often than I do on consoles. Reasoning: I upgrade my computer anyway when new models come out whereas I do not think it is worth buying each and every console up to Playstation 32!!! Okay... That was a little over exhaggerated but you get what I mean!

In my opinion,PC is a gaming console and the best gaming console.And can do pretty much anything with a PC.
