Default New MacBook Air

What do you guys think of the new MacBook Air?
I saw it today at Best Buy. It's so thin and so small.
Not sure how good it'll be for gaming.

I wouldn't buy a laptop for gaming. You can't upgrade them, so they get outdated quickly. Not to mention they can be clumsy to use. If you want a gaming computer, I'd look at a desktop with a high-end video card and lots of memory and RAM.

As for the notebook itself, I looked it up on the Internet for an expert's opinion. Reviews.cnet.com says that it's "Incredibly thin yet surprisingly sturdy" with "new trackpad gesture controls [that] are very useful" and the "remote optical drive makes living without a built-in drive much easier." However, it has "Very limited connectivity" and is "slower than other MacBooks", with a "SSD hard-drive option [that] is ridiculously expensive." The "standard hard drive is small" and the "battery is not user replaceable."

If I wanted a notebook, I'd go for something else.

It's interesting as a gimmick machine. By that, I mean the main selling point is a gimmick: being smaller than other laptops. If the technology is refined more, giving it a larger hard drive and solving the other problems, while keeping the small size, then it might be worth getting. As it is, though, it's just a novelty for people with money to blow.

No CD drive, How would that be useful to me? Can't load games, videos, or anything of that nature unless I use an external drive. I don't see how I could use that as a respectable computer.

Those things are so cool there like skinner then paper... well not really but I also think there overated I mean you pay over 2000$ for a laptop that has no disc drive.. I mean how will you install drivers that are not on the internet.. and all laugh when some poor soul cracks his in half on accident.
