I'm not sure, but I was told for two people to use the same xbox that you had to each have an account through xbox live (which means you pay for two subscriptions), although I haven't tried myself. My friend and his girlfriend had to do that (from what he told me) to be able to play online together, but if anyone knows of another way, I would love to hear it. (what is this talk of a guest account?) I would love to get a few of my buddies together and play Rainbow six or GTA 4 online!!
yea thats true, you do need two accounts, but if you want to make it easy, some games like halo you can have the second person as a guest, but other games like Call of Duty, you cant even have 2 ppl playing xbox live together.
With Halo 3 YES you can play 2 player ++ on the same xbox on xbox live and No you don't have to both have accounts one can be signed in as a guest!
There are certain types of gameplay that Guests are not allowed to play in (ranked for example).
Just register 'em as your guest, or recover their gamertag and you're off! There are limited games that allow you to do this however. Gears of War and Halo 3 are just a few games that let you play split-screen on Xbox Live.
