I totally disagree. Nintendo systems are not just for childish games. All Nintendo systems have a wide variety of games for all age groups, unlike Xbox who have pretty much just FPS games. I think Sony have a good variety too.

I'd rather have a system with a wide variety rather than mainly just one type of game.

I have fallen out with nintendo ever since the super nes days, all their games apply directly to the younger crowd, as I grew older this seemed only natural to me. The problem is nintendo is clearly quite happy to continue applying to the younger crowds so...they get flamed. Simple as that, not much you can do about it.

That's their niche, and there's nothing wrong with that. Someone has to appeal to the younger crowd. But I disagree that most of their games are only intended for young kids.

well...I disagree that you think most of their games are intended for older audiences lol, go look at a wall in eb with wii games, notice the amount of esrb ratings for kids.

Now look at a wall with xbox 360 or ps3 games, notice 1...more games and 2 games are intended for older audiences

Its just that the system is marketed to kids.. The main reason that the PSX took of was it was going for the teen and early adult market... Video games have just got to the point where its seen as a adult things, unless you play with Nintendo.

I'm sorry to say this, but you're entirely wrong. I will now list some mature games for Nintendo Wii and DS systems to prove you wrong.
  • Resident Evil 4 Wii Edition (Wii)
  • Alone in the Dark (Wii)
  • Sadness (Wii)
  • The Conduit (Wii)
  • Dementium: The Ward (NDS)

EDIT: Also, there's nothing wrong with an older person playing a game with a low rating. Just because you're 21 doesn't mean you can't play T rated games, does it? No, it doesn't.

I am going to have to agree with th know fact that Nintendo is a company that is geared toward children and wants the image as that they are family friendly. I mean I think that they still have good games but if you want more gore go to xbo.
