Wii questions

I know the Wii is backwards compatible with Gamecube discs, but will it play
different region game discs? For instance, would a UK Wii play US Game cube
discs? if you have any kind of suggestions then please help me out .I will really appreciated them..

No they won't play different region's discs. At least not the US boxes.
