Have you ever thrown your controller by mistake?

Well, you all know the stories that came out after the wii was revealed. People whipping their controllers through their tvs by mistake cause they were a bit to animated while playing their games...

I am curious if it happens as often as the news makes it out to appear. I have never thrown the controller or seen anyone do it...what bout you?

Never done it personally, but I've tried to be careful. I heard all the tales in the news and I don't want to replace my TV just yet.

I haven't played with the Wii-mote too much, as I usually use the GameCube controller, but I've not had any problem with it so far. But then mine came with a Wii jacket and strap, so it's pretty secure. If your system didn't come with a Wii jacket, you can get one free at Nintendo.com. The offer requires that you enter your system's serial number so that people who got Wii jackets with their systems don't pawn off an extra one.

You are defeating the purpose of having a Wii if you don't use the Wii remote.
The fun of playing the Wii is in the remote.

I'd have to disagree. The Wii-mote is okay, but jerking it around is only so entertaining. Though, admittedly, I've had a good time with bowling on Wii Sports. As long as they keep releasing good games that make use of the GameCube controller, the money that I spent on the console is worth it.

The Wii remote is the bomb! I can't imagine playing games like Super Mario Galaxy or some of the car racing games that I have without the Wii remote. That's half of the fun.

Perhaps for a car racing game, since you could just tilt the controller sideways like a wheel. I do plan on using the Wii-mote for Mario Kart Wii, as it's coming with the wheel attachment, which would make the motion more natural and comfortable.

And as far as this topic goes, the Wii Wheel should eliminate the controller flying out of your hand, though, I don't know if that's a problem for racing games.

I think I've thrown mine once. I can't remember if it's my Wii controller or my PS2 controller.

i have... my friends throw it all the time. sometimes, they play boxing and get super close to the tv and they hit the tv...
but they fall because of care less mistakes like not putting on the strap.
