Default Wii Sports and a Wii Workout

I just wanted to make a thread about the workout angle nintendo is using to sell their wiis...like they need help.

It actually works, I am not talking about losing weight, but getting a bit active, movign around and getting out of the chair. I found this especially true with wii sports. Dunno fi you tried but you can play them all sitting down, looking awfully goofy. But you will actually play better if you stand up and go through the motions, not only that but after a marathon night of boxing I was actually pretty damn tired.

For those that have not tried it or do not believe it. I am proof it will get you up and moving, and really could help people lose weight.

I played the Wii boxing game (in the Wii sports disc) with my son. Within 5 minutes, I was out of breath.
Some of the games are very physical. I will purchase the Wii Play soon. I heard that it is a lot of fun too.
I am also thinking about getting the Wii Fit when it becomes available (May 19, 2008 in the United States according to Wikipedia).

Yea, I read about that as well, it is a good idea and can see it's use but personally. I do not feel those two things games and a workout go together so well, I get myself to the gym bi weekly so when I want to play video games its all i want to do.

I had bought a wii previously but sold it. In my humble opinion...it got boring and old real fast.
