Default Recomendations on rechargeable batteries?

My family is running low on regular batteries, and with MKWii coming out tomorrow, I know those batteries won't last through the day. Do you guys have any recommendations as to what brand of rechargeable I should persuade my dad to get?

Rechargeable batteries can only be recharged so many times, and each time that one is recharged, it loses a little of its lifespan. In other words, the second-go won't last as long as the first-go and the third-go won't last as long as the second-go. Eventually they die and have to be replaced. They're also more expensive, I believe. Might be cheaper to simply buy regular batteries. Then you don't have to worry about buying a battery charger and waiting an hour or so for your batteries to be usable again.

I don't think so. It costs MUCH MORE to buy regular batteries, especially if you play the Wii a lot.

I'd recommend sticking with normal alkaline batteries. The Wii instructions say "do not use rechargable batteries." Using them could damage your remote.

II have used rechargeable batteries basically since I first got it, which was December 2006. Nothing.

Anyway, I use Duracell Rechargeable batteries. There are a specific type that charge in 15 minutes. But of course, this is in the first few times you charge them.

Hope that helps.
