Atari is still around and making games. They were bought a few times, but they're still here.

I don't have one of these modern remakes, but there are a lot of older classic games being released on plug and play "systems" are just controllers with a few circuits inside them.

i've seen them, and they seem like a good idea. if i didn't have the priginal systems and games, i'd consider one. it's probably be nice to not have to worry about glitchy paddles and joysticks anymore. I've got an entire cardboard box full of 2600 controllers in my closet and maybe 5 that are any good. The 5200 had notoriously glitchy controllers...

An old Atari? I think I have seen these...they're the ones that you "plug 'n play" into your TV right?

How do you like it? Are the games the same or remade as well?

I have a modern plug and play Atari, though, I had forgotten about it. They have built-in games and look and play the same as the old ones. The "system" is a box with a quirky joystick and a fat arcade-style button. The controls could be better.
