Default Turbo grafx 16. The Most Underrated Console of ALL Time?

I think so. I can't believe the TurboGrafx16 / TurboDuo got swept under by the competition. Was it just failed marketing or what? This machine was WAYYY ahead of the competition at the time, had many of the same games, as well as some great exclusive games (can i say bonk's adventure, and alien crush? hell ya!) The design was great, they had the best gaming pads at the time. Technically their console was far more advanced than either sega or nintendo's offerings. and they had 5 player multitap. Who didn't love 5 player bomber man? I vote TG16 the most underrated console of ALL TIME. Was anyone els eon the TG16 following back in the day, or were you all nintendo/sega fanboys back in the day?

I never knew that the Turbo Grafix 16 existed until it was ported to the Wii as Virtual Console offerings. I've only played Atari, Nintendo, Sega, Sony, Microsoft, and some off brands.

I think it was failed marketing. I remember borrowing a turbographx 16 from a neighbor which had Bonks adventure, Splatter House and some Marble game... the marble game was awesome and so was Bonks adventure.. the graphics were pretty cool. I never understood why the system was never a considered a top system back then. Definitely had the graphics engine to back it up. Maybe it lacked quality games, at the time SNES and Genesis rocked the market with Sonic and Mario games... those were tough to beat
