Default AMD vs Intel? Your thoughts.

I'm, by heart, an AMD fanboy. I agree Intel's performance and architecture are a bit better. But it doesn't reflect the price as well as it should. AMD delivers very nice chips at around half the price of intel's competing chips.

I'd like to hear other people's opinions.

As of now intel is in the lead of cpus with there new quad core.
For proof you could just look at the pc benchmarks of the two procs.

The first thing to notice on this post is the mistake on the title saying "AMB" for AMD, so please do change that. On my notion, i would say AMD is better than Intel on many aspects, but when it comes to durablity and stablity, the lack long time. So Intel wins the race.

Thanks.

Indeed it does not say AMB rofl but besides the point in what ways is AMD better you stated none so I was just wondering what you meant by AMD is better then intel in many aspects.

price to performance ratio.. Intel doesn't compare in that aspect. But if you have the money to blow then Intel is the way to go.

Well if you are not sure on AMD's performance, then please do go read some notes on them. Their processors can offer more efficiency than intel, Their graphics processing systems are far more advanced than intel, they can multiprocess in an exponential ways, They can over cloak and give out thrice their performance. There are many other technical issues that makes AMD chips more good than intel, but you will not understand them.

What you people say is right from users views, but the real scene is different, if AMD can create processors that are stable, then they would overthrow intel, give them a run for their money.

I heard that AMD processors are better for gaming. Not sure if there is any truth to that.
I played games on both an Intel and AMD machines. Did not notice any performance difference.

Its not so much the two brands its more based on speeds and most importantly the size of the cache and how many physical proccessing units there are. Ok lets say you had a quad core processor, but put this in perspective on either a intel or amd it would not necessarily make either brand faster cause many programs do no take advantage of quad core processors.
