Default Recommended PC specs to play games

My question is if there are any recommended PC specs to play games in your computer?
Before unistalling everything, I used to setup and play games on my computer but it finally crashed, restarted and other stuff.

So, if anyone can recommend how my PC has to be not to be in trouble again, I'd appreciate that.

Powerful PC is recommended, but I don't know exactly what specs should have a PC to work fine while playing games.
I hope somebody could answer this question.

512MB Ram, Prefferably 1GB or 2GB ... An Nvidia GeForce graphic card with atleast 256MB Graphics RAM... an ATI one will do too... although I prefer Nvidia..

Thanks man! My computer crashes sometimes too, but I keep using it to play games. I will remember these settings to avoid problems with my computer. Thanks again for posting that.

This is one reason that I refrain from downloading games into my computer anymore. I noticed that it was getting slower and kept crashing sometimes. It can take up so much space in the memory.

I'm thinking about buying a computer only to play games... that would be the solution for my computer stop working slow and crashes. What do you think guys? Anyway, thanks for the help karan.

The specs really depend on the game and what settings you want to run it at. You dont need the top of the line computer to run most games. As long as you have decent ram, video card, proccesor, you should be fine. Also, I would reccomend building a computer if you want to do some gaming and want to save some money.

I don't mind playing games in my computer if it doesn't crash and lose all the things I'm doing. I hope I can improve my computer enough to avoid these problems, if not, I won't keep playing in my computer.

I think 1GB RAM is fast becoming the required minimum for games to run. Anyone that's played World of Warcraft and has visited Ironforge will know that the benefits of having a decent amount of RAM is huge.

You really need to have a lot of ram and diskspace. I have 256 DDR MB and it's not sufficient at all. Additionally, you'll need a quality video card so that you can handle the game's graphics load with no problem. A good processor over 2.0ghz would be helpful too, to run these games at a good pace.
