I see all these young guys walking around with psp and Nintendo DS now I 'm curious as to what the big deal with these things are now don't get me wrong I'm a gamer just like the rest of yeah but I just don't see the big appeal the graphics aren't that great so why do own a psp??

I own a PSP just cuz its fun the graphics are not so bad its just like the ps1 I think if you actually played a PSP it would grow on you so try one before you knock it

I think the graphics are actually comparable to PS2, so obviously having a PS2 console in your hands in the big selling point. It's something you actually have to try before dismissing it.

I'm not sure about the PSP, but half the people with a DS are just playing Nintendogs in my experience, which is a big shame. Its a stupid fad just like the tamogotchi a few years back.

Its silly really - there are some great games out there for the DS and people are missing out on them by just buying the one that gets the most hype.

Handhelds are something you either like, or don't, in my opinion. I like handhelds for when I'm travelling - but I would never call them a substitute for a real games machine.

Yeh, thats pretty much the main reason for the hype. Good graphics + portable equals excellent. But in now way would they ever compare to a non-portable gaming system.

Great for going overseas though, or road trips.
