Good idea to buy the PS3? - Page 2

Hi powell,how are you?

I know your post asked if anyone regretted buying a "PS3",but I wanted to take this opportunity to say that I am a loyal fan of the "PS3" I'm very glad I bought it.I know it's the most expensive of "BIG 3",but it's a Blueray Player,backwards compatible for a lot of games(I know because I have several PS2 titles that work on it)

Where I live,even the Die hard fans of the 360 are considering(including my brother)buying the PS3 due to the fact that some of the upcoming titles that are exclusive to the PS3 look awesome.Buy it,you'll be glad you did,I promise you.

I can't believe you did not like the Wii. The Wii is my favorite and has been selling in far greater number than the Xbox 360 and PS3.

well since i'm still going strong on my ps2 simple though it may be, i really don't know first hand of the qualilty of the wii or xbox, but if one works fine and the other is just hype, i think you should save that money sioce the ps3 may disappoint you... if you don't wanna do that, try comparing opinions from those who do have a ps3 and the facts of the system otherwise... then maybe....

What model of the PS3 are you looking to get? I purchased the 40 GB model and it's sufficient enough for my needs. The graphics look great with a HD-TV and there's a nice selection of games out there. Not to mention online gameplay is free. You're definitely getting more bang for your buck when you purchase a PS3.

I am waiting a while for the price to drop on Playstation 3's. I don't wanto to spend $499 on a video game console, no matter how awesome it may be.

You don't have to pay $499 for the PS3, it all really depends on what model you want to get. I recommend you get the 40GB model, it's $399 and comes with a spider-man 3 blu-ray disc. It's definitely worth the price though, you'll need a high def tv to go with it.
