As my favorite game of all time, I thought I'd make a thread about it. I didn't like the follow-up movie though, thought it was a pile of crap.

Has anyone heard anything on a remake for PS3?

I agree, Final Fantasy VII was an excellent game, and probably one of the best RPG's on Playstation.

As for Advent Children I enjoyed it and found it to be a pretty good movie.

FF 7 on PS3? Apparently it's just a rumour, but I don't quite know what to believe. I hope it isn't.

I only saw the Japanese version with subtitles, so perhaps that made my view on it a little less entertaining. I doubt it though, I just overall didn't think it was a very good story.

I'd love to play a remake though. I too hope it's true.

Yeah, that's a damn shame. I did hear that they said they would consider it when they're done with all their current projects. No idea how credible that statement is, but I guess I'll just hope it's true.

Hopefully it does come true. Think about it though, how much money would they make from a remake as a storyline wouldn't really need to be created, just the needing to be improved graphically and other aspects.

Exactly, so it really wouldn't hurt too much to have it made. I know I'd buy it, and I know a ton of my friends would as well. It's bound to be successful.

They are not my favorite of all time but they are very good games at that. I am going to have to say that out of all of them my rankings go XI, VII, XII for my top three. V was also pretty good.

I liked the original, but I'm not pleased with the Compilation Series. Feels like nothing more than simple fanservice to me. They're not doing Final Fantasy VII justice.

there's lots of sequels and prequels that I have seen in this game, I have heard about the news regarding the sequel that will be released in PS3
