What do you think about the price tag on the PS3?

Do you think it is a little on the high side, or is it just paying for top quality?

The ps3 is top quality, with great graphics. But you've got to admit, the price is very expensive. Especially for families, this is probabaly why they aren't at the top of the foodchain.

Personally, I dont like the PS3 at all. None of the games really interest me, and the ones that do will be comming out for other systems like the Xbox 360. IE: Assasins creed.

The price of the PS3 is probably a huge factor in its poor sales. That and also the lack of availability.

I don't think the PS3 is overpriced at all. You get a built in Blu-Ray DVD player which alone is worth $1000 dollars. The PS3 is amazing and definitely is one of the greatest consoles yet. I still love the Xbox 360 though.

There shouldn't even be a debate about the PS3 being over priced. There is so much you can do with it.

Agreed, you can do a lot with the PS3, but not everyone wants to pay more for an all-singing-all-dancing console. Still, that said, I still prefer it over the Xbox 360, simply because it is a PlayStation, and they're what I'm used to.

I think it is. 600$ for a ps3. When a xbox 360 is like 400. Truthfully i think its a waste of money. But its not my decesion. Its yours .

It has been out for quite some time now and I still think that the price for the system is just way to high for what they are offering in the option of available games.

While the system itself seems solid, it'll all depend on the library. However, I've not looked much into PS3 games yet, so I can't really say at the moment. I might get one when it gets cheaper. Right now it's too expensive for my budget. The Blu-ray feature doesn't draw me because I don't have an HDTV, so it wouldn't matter anyway.

The PS3 only costs $50 more than a 360. How is that over priced? Not to mention the PS3 has a built in blu ray player and free online gaming.
