Default Cost of PC Games

What do you think about the cost of PC games? I know that they're cheaper when compared to console version of games but do you think they should cost even less?

nah not really.. £20 seems fair i guess. Any less then they wouldnt be making any money.
although i think console games are well overpriced.. £40-£50 for a new game is a rip off, especially compared with PC game prices.

Yes, I agree about the cost of console games. That's why I only bought new games if their price is around $20 such as the 2K Sports titles.

They are generally way cheaper than the games for consoles.
I am not a big PC gamer though. I prefer to play games on the big TV screen.

Actually, I find PC games and console games to be priced about the same in my area. Older PC games do tend to have much lower prices, but anything from the last year or two will be about the same.

It seems that the reason may be that when producing the games for the pc it may be easier cause the technology is older then the techniques for producing games on consoles as they have different ways of putting the game content on the discs.

It depends what kind of game it is. A lot of PC games are simpler than console games, thus they're cheaper. I don't play PC versions of games that have console counterparts, so perhaps that market is different. The games I have for the PC are made only for the PC, like the Age of Empires series and the Tycoon games.

They could cost even less and they are getting cheaper now that a lot of companies are allowing for people to download them which is cutting out the middleman allowing for lower prices but for me I still like to own something solid. I have bought about half a dozen games solely via the internet and saved a bit them from buying from Brick and mortar.

I feel with the coming of the newer PC game versions, the older versions should be available for free....
